HIDEING AND SHOWING WINDOWS

Windows can be hidden and shown using either the window control menu that belongs to the window or the window manager dialog. The window control menu that belongs to a window can be activated by simply clicking on the title bar of the window using the right mouse button. Two option in this menu '<<HIDE>>' and '<<DELETE>>' perform these operations on the window to which the menu belongs. The other menu options are the names of the other windows, dialogs, menus etc that currently exist. Some of them may be hidden and if they are this will be indicated by an '*' to the left of the entry. Clicking on any window (dialogs, menus etc) name will cause it to be brought to the front even if it is hidden (they are again shown if you do this). Note that the entries toward the top of the list should be considered closer to the surface of the screen.

The window manager dialog performs a similar function to the window control menu except that the controls to be operated on (windows, dialogs, menus etc) must first be selected from the list provided and then the appropriate button pressed. The window manager dialog is activated from the root menu as the 'window list' option.
